IPTV FAQ First steps
Can one IPTV subscription work on several devices?
Can I use IPTV on multiple devices?
Yes, and the key is the difference between devices that hold the login and devices that are playing. Installing the app and signing in costs nothing. A screen only counts while a stream is running on it.
Behind the scenes, each account has a connection limit. On a two-screen plan, the server accepts two streams together. Start a third and it either refuses to open or bumps one of the others, depending on the player. Many players list active and maximum connections under Account info, a quick way to see what your plan allows.
Two practical rules follow. On a one-screen plan, stop the channel on one TV before starting another. And a phone watching a game on the bus counts exactly like a TV at home.
How much does IPTV cost for two or more TVs?
Adding screens costs much less than buying a second subscription. Every IPTV Jacom price below is in Canadian dollars, paid once, with the same channels on each screen.
| Screens playing together | One month | Twelve months | Per screen, per month (12-month plan) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 at once | $20 CAD | $80 CAD | $6.67 |
| 2 at once | $30 CAD | $130 CAD | $5.42 |
| 3 at once | $40 CAD | $180 CAD | $5.00 |
| 4 at once | $50 CAD | $230 CAD | $4.79 |
| 5 at once | $60 CAD | $280 CAD | $4.67 |
The 3-month and 6-month prices, with a Buy button for every combination, are on the subscription price board.
How many screens does a household need?
Size the plan by the peak, not by the number of TVs: how many screens are playing together on your busiest night? Four TVs that are never on more than two at a time need only two screens.
- One person, or a couple who watch together: 1 screen.
- A couple with different tastes: 2 screens, so the game and the series run side by side.
- A family with kids or teens: 3 screens cover the main TV, a bedroom and a tablet.
- Several generations or roommates: 4 or 5 screens.

Will several IPTV screens slow down my internet?
Each screen adds its own stream, so the speed you need grows with every TV playing at once. A line that carries one Full HD channel easily can struggle with three during a playoff game.
| Screens playing | All in Full HD | One of them in 4K |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 Mbps | 30 Mbps |
| 2 | 25 Mbps | 40 Mbps |
| 3 | 35 Mbps | 50 Mbps |
| 4 | 45 Mbps | 60 Mbps |
| 5 | 55 Mbps | 70 Mbps |
The table budgets 10 Mbps for every Full HD stream, 25 for a 4K one and 5 more as spare room. Give the main TV a wired Ethernet link to the router, so phones never steal its Wi-Fi. If your plan has a cap, check how much data IPTV uses. Phones and tablets use the same login; the Android phone and tablet guide sets them up.
Related questions people type
Can I watch IPTV on 2 televisions at the same time?
Yes, with a two-screen plan. Install a player on each TV, sign in with the same details, and both can play different channels at once. Two screens on IPTV Jacom cost $30 CAD for one month or $130 for twelve. On a one-screen plan, the second TV can stay signed in but should only play when the first is off.
Does my IPTV login work on a phone away from home?
Yes. Any connection will do, whether a friend's Wi-Fi or mobile data. While it streams, the phone uses one screen from your plan. Watch mobile data closely: HD video can pass a gigabyte per hour, and small phone plans run dry quickly.
What if more devices try to play than my plan allows?
The extra stream will not start, or one of the running streams stops. Nothing breaks; the server is simply enforcing the screen limit. Close the player on a device nobody is watching, wait a few seconds and try again. If it keeps happening on busy evenings, a plan with one more screen is the clean fix.
Do I need a separate login for each TV?
No. One login covers every device in the house, and the screen count on your plan sets how many stream together. That keeps life simple: one email with your details, one end date and one payment. Try it first on your main TV with the free trial, then add the same details to the other devices once you subscribe.
One login for every TV in the house
Choose 1 to 5 screens, pay once in CAD by Interac e-Transfer, and add the same login to every TV, phone and tablet you own.
