01 · The idea
What is an IPTV service, in one minute?
An IPTV service sends television as an internet stream to an app on your TV, stick, phone or computer, instead of through a cable box or a satellite dish. You keep your internet provider and drop the TV bundle.
The letters stand for Internet Protocol Television. Canadian phone companies have used the same technology for years inside their own networks; an open IPTV service like IPTV Jacom runs over the public internet, so it works on any provider, in any province, on hardware you choose. The full definition of IPTV covers the history and the jargon.
Three things make up the service: a login (your account), a player app (the screen you see) and a steady connection (what carries the picture). Get those right and IPTV behaves like cable: pick a channel, read the guide, change channels with the remote.
- No dish, no technician visit, no rented receiver
- Works on the internet you already have
- One login for every TV, phone and tablet in the house
- Canadian, French and world-language channels in one guide
02 · Functions
What functions does an IPTV service include?
An IPTV service includes live channels, an on-demand library, a TV guide with catch-up, several screens on one login, 4K where it exists, favourites and a parental PIN. With IPTV Jacom all of it comes in every plan, from $20 CAD.
| Function | What it does | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
| Live TV | 55,000+ channels in 28 groups: Canadian national and 7 local groups, sports in English and French, US networks, kids, news and 10 world-language groups | Search the channel list |
| Movies and series on demand | 250,000+ titles with complete seasons, in the same app as live TV | Full Channels package |
| TV guide (EPG) | What is on now and next, in your own time zone, for every channel that sends guide data | When the guide stops updating |
| Catch-up | Replay recent programmes on channels that keep an archive, straight from the guide | Catch-up explained |
| Several screens at once | 1 to 5 devices playing together on one login | Screens for a busy home |
| 4K where it exists | A 4K Ultra HD group for the broadcasts made in 4K; HD and Full HD everywhere else | Getting a sharp 4K picture |
| Favourites and parental PIN | Pin the channels you use, hide groups you never open, lock channels behind a PIN in the player app | TiviMate settings |
| Two channel packages | Full Channels, or English Channels Only for a shorter list, at the same price | English Channels Only |
None of these is a paid add-on. Every plan length gets the same channels, library and guide; only the number of months and the number of screens change the price. The one choice that changes the channel list is the package: Full Channels, or the shorter English Channels Only list, both at the same price.
03 · From order to screen
How does IPTV reach your TV?
Channels are encoded on servers, streamed over the internet to your home and decoded by a player app on your device. Your login tells the app which channels and which guide to load.
- The server receives each channel, encodes it and keeps backup streams ready for the busiest evenings.
- Your internet line carries the stream like any other video, over fibre, cable, DSL or wireless.
- Your router passes it to the TV or stick, by cable or Wi-Fi. A wired connection is the steadier of the two.
- The player app (IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate or the TV's own app) reads your login, loads the channel list and the guide, and decodes the picture.
Logins come in three forms: Xtream Codes (a username, a password and a server address), an M3U playlist link, or a portal address with your box's MAC address for MAG and Formuler. The difference between Xtream Codes and M3U matters when you pick an app; the complete walk-through of how IPTV works in Canada follows a stream from the server to your couch.
04 · What you need
What do you need at home to watch IPTV in Canada?
You need a steady internet connection of about 10 Mbps per Full HD screen, a compatible device and a player app. Nearly every home internet plan sold in Canada is enough for one or two screens.
| Picture | Speed per screen | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| HD (720p) | about 5 Mbps | Phones, tablets, smaller TVs |
| Full HD (1080p) | about 10 Mbps | Most living-room TVs |
| 4K Ultra HD | about 25 Mbps | 4K TV with a 4K stick or box |
| Two TVs at once | add the two together | Plus about 5 Mbps spare for the rest of the house |
Devices that work
Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV and Google TV, Samsung, LG and Hisense smart TVs, Roku (by screen mirroring), Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Android phones, Windows and Mac computers, and MAG or Formuler boxes. Each has a step-by-step page in the IPTV installation guide.
When IPTV is not the right choice
On very slow or heavily capped internet, such as satellite plans with a small monthly allowance, IPTV will disappoint: a Full HD hour uses roughly 2 to 3 GB. In that case an antenna for local stations or a traditional TV service is the better buy. The internet speed guide helps you decide.

What do IPTV reseller panels cost in Canada?
IPTV Jacom reseller panels cost $500 for 10 credits, $900 for 20 credits, $1,300 for 30 credits (CAD). One credit activates one customer for a full year and appears as 12 credits in the reseller dashboard.
| Panel | Credits | In your dashboard | Activates | Price | Per customer-year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Panel | 10 credits | 120 credits | 10 customer-years | $500 CAD | $50.00 |
| Growth Panel (our pick) | 20 credits | 240 credits | 20 customer-years | $900 CAD | $45.00 |
| Pro Panel | 30 credits | 360 credits | 30 customer-years | $1,300 CAD | $43.33 |
A reseller creates and extends customer logins from the panel and sets their own prices. The bigger the panel, the less each customer-year costs. Credits are paid once by Interac e-Transfer, stay in the panel until used, and the same bilingual support team stands behind every reseller. Requirements, the application form and how support works for resellers are on the IPTV reseller program page.
07 · Paying and policies
How do payment, the trial and refunds work?
You pay once by Interac e-Transfer in CAD, nothing renews by itself, the trial is free for 24 hours and new customers have a 7-day refund policy.
Interac e-Transfer only
Interac e-Transfer runs from the Send money screen of every major Canadian bank app and most credit unions, so the price stays in Canadian dollars and no card number is ever typed on this site. The money goes to ITLOGY LLC, the company that handles IPTV Jacom payments.
No contract, no automatic renewal
A plan lasts the months you paid for. To continue, buy again and choose Extend subscription so the time lands on the same login.
Trial and refund
The 24-hour trial uses the full channel list and needs no card. If the service does not work for you within 7 days of a first order, the refund policy applies.
The legal side
IPTV is a delivery technology, and how the law treats a given service depends on what it streams. IPTV Jacom does not host or store content; streams come from third-party providers, and IPTV Jacom provides access and technical support. The plain-language look at IPTV and Canadian law explains the context; it is not legal advice.

One login runs on every device you own, with 1 to 5 playing at the same time depending on the plan. Help comes in English and French by Live Chat.
How much does IPTV cost per month in Canada?

What do IPTV reseller panels cost?
IPTV Jacom reseller panels cost $500 CAD for 10 credits, $900 CAD for 20 credits, $1,300 CAD for 30 credits. Do I need a box or a satellite dish for IPTV?
No dish and usually no new box. IPTV plays through an app on a device you probably already own: a Fire TV Stick, an Android or Google TV, a Samsung, LG or Hisense smart TV, an Apple TV, a phone or a computer. A dedicated IPTV box such as a MAG or Formuler works too, and some people prefer its remote. What every option needs is a steady home internet connection.
Is there a contract or a cancellation fee?
No. You pay for a set number of months and the plan simply ends on its end date. Nothing renews by itself, because no card is ever stored. To keep watching you buy again and choose Extend subscription, which adds the time to the same login. New customers also have a 7-day refund policy and can try everything free for 24 hours before paying.
